What is the stock barrel on a Tac-One

I know this has been asked already, and it was answered that it is a J & J barrel, but the Airgun website says it is some sort of Dye barrel. Does anyone know what it is?

new stock is the Dye x-cel barrel, not that I'm a fan of the dye but the quality on the dye is 100x better thne the J&J. You could kill a gazelle with the burrs in the porting on the J&J's.

Neither barrel is worth the $$$ but at least its a step up.

The grips on my intelliframe are Dye...Apparently they went to dye a while ago. But to answer the question of which barrel it is, I have no idea.

The new Tac's also have the nice Dye Gel grips, maybe its coming to all guns now?

his barrels are great and cant beat em for the $ yes the one in the pic is a j&j..

i havent seen thw dye myself so i cant comment on the quaity.

ive seen better from j&j myself.

btw is agd partnered with dye or something...or they jusy buy the barrels..and werent grips coming with stickies for a while?

J&J makes alot of barrels, the ones they make for themselves are very nice. These ones AGD outsourced for the Rt's and Tacs are very poor in fit and finish, as I mentioned previosuly the huge sharp burrs in the porting. For the Price AGD was charging it was a terrible barrel.

I'm not a huge fan of the Dye X-cel barrels but at least the fit and finish is MUCH better. The pricing still seems a little steep for a barrel that sells on ebay for mid to high $30's



I still recomend to customers to skip the barrel AGD is selling and get a nice CP or Lapco for less money.

And what was the point in the J&J being 2 peice? the tips are not compatible with anything and ther ewere not other sized backs availible. Pointless way to drive up costs.


BTW these are the grips on new Tacs the new Sticky 3's



Only grips I have seen on AGD product was the bottom of the line hard dye grips previously.

where do i buy the j&j barrel like on the tac one. I cant seem to find any anywhere. anybody have a site where u can buy them seperatly. is it any good. what is the best barrel i can get nomadder wat the price is.
