    The VM-68 Lives again.

This beast was lurking in my closet for 3 years, due to the fact i didnt have a barrel. Well, i decided to be DUMB and took my friends phantom barrel, tapped around the threading, making it big enugh to fit into the threading of the VM. Here are some pictures. It's amazingly consistant. 285, 284, 279 at the chrono. Its accurate too. I'll have a video up later.

My one friend has one of them. It was his first semi auto he ever bought 7 or 8 years ago. It was heavily used when he bought it, but it worked great for the year or 2 he actually used it. We took it this past summer and shot it for the first time again in 3 or 4 years. It to sat in his closet collecting dust. We were all amazed at how much kick it had after we had all been shooting electros for years. The VM didn't leak or anything after sitting. All we did was put somegold cup oil through it and it shot really well but like I said, it kicked hard. I have shot real firearms that had less kick than his VM 68. The kick was probably due to its larger than average hammer. VM 68s probably have the biggest hammer out of any paintball gun ever manufactured. My friend used to use 2 tanks on his. One where yours is located, and one off of a bottomline setup.

this is so cool...this was my first semi marker. that think kicks like crazy...and weighes a ton. especially with the 20oz. on the back and a 10oz up front. A few of us were thiking of picking up two or three and taking them to the field just to see the look on peoples faces...especially after we roll them.

My mag doesn't seem like a heavy gas hog anymore.
who cares how your marker looks...just move fast and shoot straight

I forgot to mention, i got about 160 shots off my friends 3.5 oz tank. So it'd get 320 off a 7 oz, and roughly 850 rounds off of a 20oz.

Yeah gotta love the VM's... one of my friends still has the 2 he had before he got his mags... He even did a Full Auto conversion on one of um...

Creative Mayhem: Reminds me of a good story... last year was out of town and was killing some time and pop'd into a Army Surplus store... And there was 3 VM's * NEW IN THE BOX * never air'd up .... I would of loved to buy one for giggles but they guy wanted $250.00 a piece for um and wouldn't come down at ALL ... said he has had um for years and paid a lot more than that for um and he sounded still bitter about it and wasn't going to sell um for any less it was more of a reminder to him not to deal in paintball stuff... LOL

I remember those. My buddy had one, but could never get it to work properly. He got it used, so who knew what had been done to it. The gun always went full auto whenever it was gassed up.

How much would the VMX body go for approximately?

I'd love to get my old VM back. Never should have sold it
