Can I take this off an RT PRO?

I dont have mine yet, but when I do get my RT PRO i was wondering If I could take the Stainless Steel bracket off or does it have to be on there?

I like them. I think the current grips sit to close to the gripframe/trigger guard.

the screws are locktited to the forgrip so you have to use some elbow grease.

for mounting it i just took the metal thing off and bought some longer 10-32 screws at a hardware store and i made sure the head of the screw i bought would fit in below the body w/o problems. with just one screw in the grip though it tends to turn and twist sometimes. to fix this i measured and drilled a hole into my rail right above the hole on the asa. then i put a 10-32 set screw in the whole and then i put the other screw on and it locks it down. you could locktite it a bunch and see if it would stop moving around.
