"Final" word on WI Paintball Ban

As those of you who have been keeping up with this know, the deadline imposed by the Assembly Natural Resources Committee on the DNR to decide what they wanted to do about their proposed paintball rule is today. The DNR notified the committee that they are withdrawing the rule for the time being, allowing the rest of the package this rule was a part of to go through. This basically preserves the status quo and returns things to the way they were a year ago - there's no rule in place, but the DNR could propose another paintball related rule in the future. They do, however, now know there are paintball people to consult with when doing so and we'll be able to participate in the whole process if there is indeed a next time around.

So case closed on that one.

Could I get some more info

Damn seeing this thread kinda took me by shock considering I live in Wisconsin and just ordered an SFL emag that is supposed to arrive today. Could someone please give me some more information on what the rule was about or "gasp" ban. Any links would be very helpful, thx. I'd be sure to ***** out my legislators for letting that idea even get to the drawing board. Some dumb animal tree hugger worrying that non toxic paint is destroying the ozone layer and the food system. LOL

it would have stopped paintball from being played on government land.
