i think this is a new barrel. i couldnt find a search for this. are they good? the 1 piece ones? theyre 40 on actionvillage.

im sure they are just like a 1 piece dye barrel. same manufacturer ,and im sure its the same procedure, prolly same tolerances as well. for all fo you woh dont know... proto replaced xcel.... thats all

I have never use one, but I have looked at one. They seem very high quality. They are basicly Dye barrels. For the money, I'd try to get a used UL in the b/s/t section here or on pbnation.com.

im going to say what rogue always says. "barrels fall into two categoreis good and bad"
assuming the abrrel wasnt made by a monkey or out of sheetmetal its assumeable its a good abrrel. dye abrrels are fine,j&j,lapco, etc etc
but i do suggest checking the insides of the abrrels to make sure theyr smoothed REALLY well.
if u want a proto barrel get a proto abrell, but it wil likely perform the same as a similairly priced CP, or lapco
