impulse seal in a maverick pump gun

    well...
in an ACI maverick pump gun there is a seal called an impulse seal. basically a cup seal.
i cant figure out how to take the valve apart to put the seal in.
here is a link to the part: http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/...r-gun-upgrades

i can unscrew the brass part holding the valve all together, but all the internals, ecxept for the spring, are stuck together. i'm just wondering how one is supposed to get them apart.

i'm in no hurry to know, but in the future, if my seal fails, i'd just like to know how to get it in.

    thankyou, Liam

Okay, I've got a trracer, which is very similar to a maverick. What you want to do, once you have the brass valve section in... is the following. you know the mini-powertube? the bit that the hammer normally hits to let the air out? Okay... Hold that. Now... at the other end, the part the spring normally pushes on... unscrew that.... it shouldn't be too tough. Now, there are two parts to the seal. There's a black nylonish piece... and an o-ring. Now... I don't know where you can get the proper o-rings anymore, but there is a standard buna-n that works well that you can get for cheap at home depot, and they seem to last decently enough since it's not a terribly active seal. I've been using the same o-ring after a good 1000 cycles. I'll get you the number later this week if you'd like, and if you're still needing clarification, I'll take some pictures for you too. ^_^
