    Gift Idea's

Just looking for some ideas as a birthday gift for a friend.

hes going into marine recon, so im thinking of acessories for the a5 related to "sniping"

i convinced him not to get the flatline, as i was going to buy it for him. except now, ive seen reviews that say the consistancy sucks. so, anyone want to clear that up from people i trust?

hes looking to buy himself an a5 with response, so i was looking at accessories that would 1st boost performance, and possibly look 2nd.

    any ideas are greatly appreciated

if i get really desperate, i might just get him a gift certificate to special ops paintball, but im looking to suprise him, as hes going to buy his gun through my paypal account

Boy do I have an A5 for you...

I have an A5 for sale/trade that is set up for scenario games and sniping. Let's see, A5 with E-grip, Flatline, Freak back (kit and 3 fronts available), 30- round hopper cap, AR-15 carry handle with scope riser, camo tape, foam -padded hopper front and cyclone front, rear velocity adjuster, JCS aluminum front grip, bullet drop forward with on/off, polished internals, and probably more cool extras I forgot. I just recently decided to part with it as I just bought a phantom and 3 micromags.

I would take cash (price depends on what extras you want, but I'd like to see this go to a good home) or automag-related trades.

These photos (if they appear) are 1-2 months old, I have a better camera now and I can send better photos if you want.

      Flatline

      About the flatline:

The tragectory is mostly flat, so there are a lot of shots you can take through branches and brush that you could not take with a traditional barrel. It has much greater distance than other barrels. The big downside is accuracy at extreme long range- balls will sometimes curve near the end of the shot (past 150') as they slow down, and miss the target. So between 0-75', the flatline is equal to other good barrels. From 75-120' it is better than many others because of the flat tragectory, but balls sometimes curve as you get farther out. At far range it outperfoms others in the woods, but if I had a clear shot and could get a little closer to the target, I would rather have a regular barrel and just arc the shot more.

I find that I like to just get closer in and use a shorter, straight barrel. But then that's not being a sniper.

      About the respose trigger:

It is bulky on the A5 and gets caught on everything that brushes up against the gun. I had one on another A5. The E-grip is really smooth and eliminates any gun shake when you pull the trigger- much better for sniping.

a friend of mine recently bought gift certificates for his father in law. i think that its a good idea because whoever you buy them for can get the upgrades they prefer. seems like a good idea to me

That or any general paintball gear. Maybe a nice harness, gloves, or mask. Who knows. You might wanna get him something that he'll keep with him if he ever decides to sell the gun.

plain cash is better than a gift certificate for many reasons...
