Looks pretty nifty...I'm sure it'll be daaaaamn expensive though. You can read about it here.

i never got that about scenario guys, or airsoft guys for that matter. they'll buy a gun like a tippmann and then blow a grand on a night vision scope. a bit off the point
wouldnt seeing in color kinda detract from the really obvious heat signature shown in black in white?

Im concerned about "sampe images associated to landscape" becoming color from memory, can my mind not do this?

Give it a little while and the price will drastically drop. I wouldnt mind a colored night-vision scopeComment

Wait... so, in order to see an area in colour at night, you've got to first go there in the day time and photograph it? Does that seem a little counterproductive to anyone else?

You have to pre-image something similar to the terrain you're going to be in. If you need it to work in a clearing of an evergreen forest, you image some evergreen trees and grass.Originally posted by Deep SixxWait... so, in order to see an area in colour at night, you've got to first go there in the day time and photograph it? I know you're the AO idiot SnyperOriginally posted by SuiciDal Sn Y p ERsave a few thousand dollars and buy a flashlight :)
, but a flashlight would give away your position. That's a bad thing in 24 hour scenario games!(the wink says I'm kidding to those who don't know)

it would give away your position but it would also give away theirs. They take one shot at the flashlight and everyone knows the general area of the opposing player AND if you havn't played in the night, having a flashlite shined at you makes it pretty damn hard to see

but the real question here is in which sample can you see the guy better huh huh
E2 VF-TACTICAL,shocktech pnues and beavertail,tactical kaner kit,shocktech supafly,shocktech mini drop and on/off ,all black :ninja: :ninja:Comment

You cannot see a person really any better but the depth perception increase and the ability to interpret the terrain better is a good advantage.
Thermals are better though, then you can see the guy standing back in the bushes behind the tree :)Comment

As a professional night vision user, and someone whos life depends on my ability to see at night, I can say that I would trade my left nut for those color night vision goggles. Depth perception is non existant with those craptacular gen 2 grey ones. I would rather not use them, because I can see better without them. Sure, with the goggles I can see the outline of someone at night whos pretty far away, but I cant see 5 feet in front of my face and I sure as heck cant aim the gun well enough to hit him without a laser on it. I also think color would be better because then they dont need to be as bright to show contrast between objects. Instead of something dark and something bright, its something brown and something green. Using nvgs for an extended period of time not only hurts, but it makes you go blind. And to purple, why spend money on a freakin dm4 or something like that if you cant see anything to shoot anyway? And a tippman is gonna have a lot less problems than a tourney gun with all the electrodoodads and so forth on it. And when a tippman DOES have a problem, its something that is simple to fix. Angel techs dont follow you around out there you know.Kosmo For President '08, '12, '16... However long it takes
