it would work just fine, if you set the blanket lose enough... with the blanket stretched like you had it theres no cushion for the paintballs. needs more cusion and it'd be fine

i tried it with just hanging a towel freely, and the balls still just went straight through it.

you know a better way to do that would be to have a large wire screen or a couple sheets and layer them and then have a towel setup to catch all the paint instead of having it hit the towel straight on

it was a great idea, it just didnt turn out all that good. and you were shooting fast so one ball might hit another and break. get some more slack and it will work.
