alright so no mater what he is gona get a good reliable gun..iam making sure i dont want him to frop 1k on a gun and turn out it not as good at another gun for the same price.....we r gona go in and hold them see what one he likes better but he not picky

I think I got it all... Personally I would check manufacturer websites, they will probably be your best bet if you want statistics. I have never shot either gun before so I cannot help your friend there, but follow the advice given and try them out. See if your friend can shoot them with an empty tank (preferably his) so that he can get a feel for the balance, a hopper on top is not a bad idea either. Good luck to the collective "we" entity that is your friend.

i can tell you the postivies and negatives about the proto. a practice team has 2 of these, so i see them every weekend. i have a dm5 so i read all of the crap at pbnation about teh matrix
pros-no kick, fast, upgradable, very small and compact, light, cheaper version of the dm5.

cons-wires are fragile. make sure you have a lot of time on your hands when you take off any wires or the grip frame. the wires for the solenoid seem to be the most common one broke. you might want to check into getting an adjustable feedneck, as well as decent barrel kit.

cleaning and lubing of the gun seems daunting at first, but it is easy once you get used to it. like every single gun out there you need basic knowledge of it so you can fix minor issues.

i do not see enough angels or read about them so i cannot comment on them.

I shot the test proto we have in here witht he predator code on it and couldnt say enough nice things about it. I hate the DM4 which is odd I liked the proto so much. If i didnt have too many guns already id be getting a proto. Ive shot 05 speeds and havent been impessed even as much as I love angels and own them. Im actually thinking about getting rid of 1 or 2 of my guns and get a proto.
