does anyone else find the massive amounts of wiring/tubing just a tad rube-goldbergian?
Also, does anyone know how it functions? Does that brass ram move the bolt/striker forward and that spring push it back (the back spring in front of the ram). dont BKO's work that way?
      seems like a retrofitted spyder

looking at the exploded view i would GUESS (listen i said guess i dont know fo sure!) but i would guess the front deally is a LP reg of sorts (i guess it really doesnt need to be, but wheres the fun in that!) that takes HP air from the frontside of the valve cuts it down to "LP" whatever that mayne... and pumps it back to the 'noid, then the 'noid when opened sends the LP air its being fed into the butt end of the gun, kicking that hammer/ram thinggy forward into the valve, opening the valve and making the shot (of course the hammer ram thinggy is attached to the bolt who is along for the ride).

do i get a cookie if im right?

Didn't know about the Ion until seeing this Wrath thread.

uses a 1 way solenoid(or would you say 2?). Basically the hammer is pushed forward with air, recocked with a spring, similar to bko and the em1 when it was around. Looks cheap to me, maybe because the grips, trigger guard and trigger all look stupid, too high tech low quality stuff. Just put normal grips on it, normal sounded trigger and a smooth rounded guard, too many people make drastic stuff for the trigger area making it look stupid.
