    Plastic Barrel?

    Sorry if this has been brought up in the past - but a couple of my guys mentioned this over the weekend....anyone ever seen one of these?

    i dont think that barrell was ment to have paint shot through it, but who knows.

    i remember PMI released a barrell that half of it was plastic, it got scratched really really easily if you got just a grain of sand in it and such.

      Tom had a set of barrels he used just for high speed photography and other such testing to prove or disprove theories about spinning paint and such.

          System X sold two piece aluminium/polycarb barrels in its early days. Personally i thought they were pretty cool, but they stopped selling them after about a year.

            Plastic twist-lock barrel

            Yeah, this one bears a striking resemblance to the early crown-point stock Automag barrels. Could be a long-lost piece of history, there.

              well let's think it's plastic and is most likely very unstable and not worth it

              but it is a pice of history one of those things you put on your wall under plastic

                  If I remeber correctly, Tom made those for testing. He sold a bunch of barrel when he retired.

                    Who cares though, it's only ten bucks. Buy it and if it is accurate, good buy. If not, it will be a collectible.

                      It's not meant to be played with. Just for testing only. A lot of times AGD uses plastic mock ups for prototypes. Since it's inexpensive to make one just for show.
