Alright people, here's my mag.

Now I have noticed that the CP gas thru is very popular with EVERYONE, so I'm beginning to like mine even less. And I haven't been wild about the "look" of several barrels I've put on it (boomstick, freak, JJ, armson). Right now I have a Phat stick on it. Which looks good, but I think I can find a barrel that "fits" the karta body style better.

SOOOOO, here's why I'm posting. I want to make as nice a looking mag as I can (this has been an on-going project). I want your opinions on what barrels and gas thru grips LOOK the best on my mag set-up. Performance aside! I have lots of gear and barrels that perform very well, but as the thread states, this is purely for asthetic reasons.

So before you comment on anything else:
1. What barrel will "look" the best with the karta body and my set-up?
2. Would you even keep the ASA? Keep in mind I like Rogues 15 degree adapter, but am unhappy with the actual gas thru. If you would keep it, what gas-thru would "look" the best?

Now I'm usually concerned with performance first, but this mag is going to run the gambit. After I get all the parts and pieces EXACTLY the way I want it's going to get one hell of an ano job done (that may be another casual poll post).

I'd go with a straight ASA and a LONG cp gas thru, not the mini.

Man, I know exactly how you feel. I've gone through several gas-thrus and drop/rail+on/off combos trying to find something that fits my Dallara. I've finally settled with the Omega vert grip, CP 14" barrel and CP direct mount ASA. I think the 'ribbed' styling on most CP products is the best match to the lines on the Deadlywind bodies (though I had a CP gas-thru w/ 15 ASA just like yours and ultimately wasn't happy with the looks either).

First off:

Dryden, thanks for the pics. Yeah, I like the way yours looks. Good ideas, good ideas :)

And ShadowNife, that's a psychoballistics Z-drop. It's pretty cool because it's one the most adjustable drops I've ever found. I set my mag up like that to mimic the kickback kind of drop, but I think I like the Z-drops placement even better. It's a VERY tight fit. The only downside is that's it heavier than all the non-body/ and non-valve parts on the gun. But like I said very adjustable, and it has a good on/off in the ASA, and is rock solid. I'm going to get the long middle piece anoed to match whatever color/pattern I go with for the body (maybe).

Its so...beautiful...

hey guys, beautiful guns. I just wanted to know how u liked the vertical frames. Are they from logic or rouge? Im considering going that route myself, so any input would be great.

As for the asthetics...I like the look of the ASA/15^ combo being nudged up against the trigger frame, but thats just me. Furthermore, have you considered a black magic reg? they look pretty stylish as well.

No opinion on the barrel. There's way too many out there, and that would actually take research. But good luck on that one.
