sound supressors/silencers are covered by BATF; if you question them, they will state categorically that such devices are completely and totally illegal to buy, sell, make, import, export, talk about, wish for, publish plans for & etc.

I did not say that the official policy was what you provided a link to - I said what they would 'SAY' when asked.

There are still cops out there who think paintball 'markers' are 'guns', there are still TSA people who won't let you check anything paintball in and there are plenty of BATF guys who will be happy to take your silencer away.

sorry, i should've clarified. the "not so" was directed at the thought that silencers are illegal to own, build, or sell; not toward your comment as a whole.

Silencers aren't illegal to own, make, sell, etc. They're only illegal to use, using them turns a paintball gun into a Class 3 Firearm, which are illegal for civilians.

It's become pretty obvious that if you want a pnuematic triggered Mag you're going to have to build it yourself.

It's a real shame but if it isn't economicly worth it for one company we don't get it at all.

Actually, its more like - You've got a company with nothing but the urge, and a company with the patent, but not enough gumption to get it built.
