    Clamshells?

I'm just curious as to whether or not there is a patent on putting clamshells onto just any 45 frame like the 2k4 timmys and up. I've seen that they are putting it onto the Tontons Shocker but so far thats about it. Imagine a mag I-frame with a clamshell on it *cough* *cough*

I thought "clamshell" referred to being able to open the 45 frame up by removing one side of it.

And newer freestyles have the a clamshell-style frame.

      Clamshell

FSU is right.... A clamshell is a frame that encases the electronics/battery in metal or plastic (like a pearl in a clam). I highly doubt anyone has a patent on a frame with an ergonomic "hump" on the back.

The most common association with clamshell is bob longs clamshell frame, that is what he means by it I think. I don't really get your post.

ok ok, i'm not trying to refer to how the frame encases the internals. I'm referring to the ergonomical hump in the back, i've played with em and they're pretty damn comfortable and i kinda might want one on my mag.

The older emags have the hump in the back.
