Here's what I'm looking at...

I've got about 500 bucks right now, I'm buying a sidewinder, CP ASA and 2 Piece for my Ego... I'll be left with about 350...

I can buy shrapnel at my local field for 25... which almost always is super brittle, random, already broken in the bag crap. I can clean it and do the "hydrating" process and make it a bit better.

Or I can order Vein XO paint from Firstcall for 39 a case (156 for 4, shipped) which I've read raving reviews about, it's canadian paint but old-school diablo was too and old-school diablo was good.

I just can't decide...

if you've heard good reviews about the XO, id go for it, but at the end of last season my field had some "new" paint to see if it was good for next season. im pretty sure it was XO and we had bad experiances with it.

you can get draxxus brown box at action village for $34 a case. I have heard it's some really decent paint, and at that price how can you beat it?

Skip the Winder and do to a 2-Liter, forget the cp rail, and buy paint.

Lol... Sidewinder = 75, 2-liter = 115 w/ extender.

Thing with this is, shrapnel is 17 bucks cheaper per case.
I could buy 3 cases of shrapnel for less than the price of 2 XO...
Which means I could buy 6 cases versus 4 cases of XO...

And James, I've been having bad luck with draxxus lately, it's been relatively round but way too brittle, I can make it better but still...

I use the think the same thing about paint, oh its cheaper so ill buy it. Well most the cheap paint ive shot was just garbage. Think about it this way, is you save, lets say 10 bucks a box but the paint break in the barrel and gun, are you really saving any more. I now only shoot blaze and premium.

DBN use to have them for $95.

I'd go with the cheap paint unless you are playing in a tourney or something.

just get the cheapest paint you can, throw on the biggest bore you have, and go to town, thats normally what i do unless its a tourney

I always splurge on paint. What the fun in having an over $1k gun if the paint you are shooting breaks, bounces, and hooks all over the place? I got so sick of dealing with the crap bigball we had locally that I just started paying for the good stuff. It was worth it.

I took steel's route.

I picked up 4 cases of XO Vein for 156 shipped... reviews said it was good stuff, I also found a guy local selling XO Hotbox for 20 a case, which also had good reviews. We'll see how it all works out
