    paintball gun ownership stats

Does anyone have any pie charts/graphs that show what percentage of paintballers own a certain type of marker?

    ie. 45% cocker, 10% Mag, 45% Spyder..........

I'm hoping there's one that will list each brand. Just curious. If not, what percent do you think owns a certain type of marker. I would guess that about 60% own Spyders.

On pbnation they have a thread askign what marker you currently use. That would probably give you a rough idea.

You also contact the manufacturers to ask them about how many markers they have produced/sold.

The problem with stuff like this is people like me own multiples of one manufacturer's markers. Currently I own 5 mags.

Remember that the majority of paintballers are not serious or competitive. Millions of people play this game in their backyards or woods, with gear they bought at a department store.

Kingman claims to have sold over 1,500,000 Spyders. Tippman number are probably similar, if you add up the Pro-Lite, Pro-Carbine and M98. Brass Eagle's sales through Wal-Mart and similar outlets are probably pretty high. AGD and WGP have done maybe 150-200,000 each, and I'd be surprised if any of the electro's approach that, yet.

cool. How about market share? What percent of the market do you think that Kingmann or WGP controls? Since they do have some of the biggest advertising campaigns and AGD doesn't have any.

I'm not doing any research for a project or anything, I was just curious if such research has already been done.
