Barrel Kits and the open bolt marker?

I have been out of PB for a while, but when I left, paint to barrel match was the thing to do for best acuracy, and I guess now, if you have an open bolt blowback that its not to crucial? Is this true, becuase I allways thought it to be pretty true when I got my J&J kit for my mag before I left?
I allways turn to AO for the correct answer to questions I have
    thanks everyone!

It doesn't matter if you use a gun that's open or closed bolt. It's all the same.

Just get a kit with 3 bores. Large (.691+), medium (.688-.690), and small (.684-.687). That should be enough.

In my opignon, paint/barrel match is just another mith. I dont see a difference between my freak kit and my stock J&J two pieces .689 on my mag. And I usually shoot small paint (smaller then .684). A kit would be good on a close bolt so that you dont loose your chambered paint.

there is definately a notable difference in the "accuracy" of my (open bolt) marker when changing bores (j&j edge kit)

Well even if it doesnt affect accuracy it affects efficiency. Next time you go paintballing try blowing a paintball out of your .689 barrel then try blowing it out of your small bore freak See which one takes less air.

Anyway, yes, barrel kits affect open bolt markers as well.

I recommend the J&J Edge barrel kit. It's the best value for your money. You get 4 backs and a choice of tip length.
