              This is more of a "Workshop" type of post, but if your local radio shack can't help you I'd try www.digikey.com. There are tons of different types of capacitors, but I'd guess that what you want is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor.

                  Need more info. Is this going on an existing board? Do you need a radial lead or axial lead capacitor(Two leads out the bottom or one on each end)? Do you know the voltage rating? Do you know the value of the capacitor(rated in farads)? Can you use a electrolytic capacitor? If you do, it is polarity sensitive so, be careful not to hook it up backwards. And why yes I am an electronics engineer.
