AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Nice to see Bob's still using good ol' Spyder bodies to make his stuff. I wasn't aware that the Defiant was in production for '04 I thought that he stopped carrying them when he moved over to the Intimidator in like 2001...
I kind of liked it except for the feedneck. Then I went back and realized it was indeed a spyder body. I have no more respect for Bob Long. I thought he was actually finally starting to make his OWN gun.

whats wrong with using a spyder body?

From what I know, same style as a bushmaster, or an impulse. It is NOT a spyder body, calling that a spyder body is equivelent to saying an impulse or a bushmaster use spyder bodies. Looks like a nice little gun from Bob and the boys at BLAST.
The Intimidator manual clearly states that the Timmy is based on a Spyder. You can take Timmy parts and bolt them onto a Spyder body, all you need is a "One Kit" and the ability to mill a groove in the top of the upper reciever tube to accept a bolt pin. You CAN'T do that with an Impulse body nor a Bushmaster body.
Note - I'm not saying that a Timmy or the new Defiant will shoot anywhere remotely like a Spyder of ANY variety, I'm simply stating that Bob Long is still using Spyder bodies as his platform.
I don't know why people choose vehemently to argue this point. If nothing else its a testament to the flexibility of the Spyder. I mean, its like saying "Nice to see that Tom's still using good ol' AGD regulators to build his stuff" It isn't a down for Tom to be using a regulator to build Mag's, it goes to show the flexibility of a regulator.
no one is arguing that Timmy bodies aren't based on a Spyder platform. This is a Defiant though, not a timmy, and so that point has nothing to do with anything
