Carbon Fiber Ion

I'd be interested to know how well those stickers stay stuck to the plastic body. Did you have to clean or smooth down anything on the body or did it apply pretty easily? It does look good and pretty soon we'll probly see some real carbon fiber bodies for the ION.

I think those would cost a lot more than the $25 bodies that have been mentioned. Not that people wouldn't buy them anyway.

the sticker sheet was purchased off a auto shop website, seeing as its meant for car graphics.

I suppose cleaning with rubbing alcohol to make shure all the oils were off the marker could have helped, but, no, tis was not done, and it seems to be sticking fine (will have to shoot it a few times)

Here's another idea for you...

Try using the carbon fiber sticker sheet on the ribs of the ion instead of the flat parts. That way you can have color with carbon fiber ribs!

1-He ordered one the day it came out (i demanded he do so, cuz i didnt want to buy another marker)
2-Have you seen the jersey i did, that was cut by hand too, im preety good with an exacto.

I saw ur deisgn for it... mine was actuall better, but mine never got put into use...What kind of cuttings was necessary for the ion. Bring in the body one day to school... i wanna look at it

each piece was individually cut and placed on, some took multiple tries, but, yeah, turned out nice

they are precut and stuff too, not bad.
