If victorinox manufactured a swiss army knife for paintball what would it include?

Well, in febuary, i wrote Victorinox an e-mail, suggesting that they make a knife for paintball, for ballers tool kits. I explained how it always seems that a paintballer is short one thing or a nother, whether it be an allen key, a knife for cutting macroline, a lighter for shrink wrap, etc etc.

I also stated the popularity of paintball, and how a knife designed for the sport, would probabally sell. they make knives for rollerblading and the like as well.

To my surprise they wrote back. Now some of you may know, they have kinves for computers, with allen key sets and an adaptor to use said allen keys. They also manufacture a knife with a built in butane lighter. these are 2 things that i would incorporate into the knife personally, but i was wondering what else would you have them incorporate?

one other thing i thought would be helpful, was a magnetized wand, for picking up screws.

Any ways, if you could please list the things you would want incorporated into said knife (including allen sizes if you are interested in this) that would be great!

another idea i had was an oring pick of some sort.

please list what viable options you would include. thanks

for an o-ring pick i imagine a metal appendage with a hook would be good (we use remanufactured dental picks at work for em), also general things like a medium sized and small sized phillips head screw driver would work nicely. However the magnetized wand might not be the best idea cuz what would happen if *whoops* dead circuit board on many high or low end electros.

you see, many electros utilize or can utilize magnetic returning triggers, using REM's or rare earth magnets, in their close vicinity to the board, these incredibly strong magnets, do not cause board problems, there fore, i dont think a magnetized wand would cause problems either.

Also, i dont need a parts description, just parts you would want in the knife.

      thanks for your imput

Allen keys (5 or 6 of the common sizes)
        Knife
        Lighter
        Dental Pick
        Phillips Screwriver (small and larger)
        Blade Screwdriver
        a small adjustable spanner/molegrips/pliers

I think that's everything I would want in a little kit....

Sounds good ^^, make em the ones that fit the mag, the 3 that come in a little pouch. If they are less than $20 i would pick one up.

Guess you won't be buying one then since when did Victorinox ever do a multi-tool knife for $20.
The list of needed parts would be :-
            Knife blade
            Flat punch (trigger pins)
            Picks (a couple of styles)
Small phillips head screw driver (halo battery cover)
Larger head phillips screw driver (grip screws and revys)
Allen wrenches would be nice but then you would have to choose which market they are sold in since metric is the size of choice for the makers of the Knifes.

The easier way to compile a list would be to list what you carry as tools currently and then see what they can include...I fail to see where a lighter would get used and adjustable wrenches with blades etc are already made I have at least two.

A slight thread jack but does anyone have a link for those small cutters for cutting macroline...I use a craft knife at the moment but can't find a proper cutter which will cut at 90* everytime...well not at the right price.

why not make a desighn for every gun, so that you arnt getting stuck with a whole bunch of tools that you wont use. but sometimes it is cool to help others out. your call.

                small needle nose pliers
                1/8 allen for sure.
small brush to get dirt out of those small places

and a personal favorite, the bps counter.

Somehow I'm not surprised at that suggestion. ESPECIALLY coming from YOU.

As for a magnetized wand...what for? They could always magnetize the allen keys/screwdriver/etc instead, thus leaving room for something else or reducing the size of the whole thing slightly.

Interesting. I have talked to Victorinox a few times. They are always up for new ideas and they make top quaility stuff. I am sure alot of you have seen my Champ that I carry with me all the time.

                    Things that they already make:

                    Small Knife
                    Large Knife
                    Scissors
                    File
                    Pliers
Can opener / Small Flat head screw driver
Bottle opener / Large Flat head screwdriver
                    Pen

Things they would have to make:

Interchangable Alen keys (like they have in the Cyber Tool with the Torqs)
Interchangable philips and flat head screwdriver tips (with they have some of these on the cyber tool)
                    Center Punch
                    Dental pick

                    I would forgo the lighter.

I agree with this list. I would buy one for sure. I would add some sort of real type of pliers(may be bulkier than a normal knife though), and a small compartment for o-rings Of course, the beer bottle opener, and maybe a Cigar cutter.

The pliers in the Champ work pretty well. They even have small wire cutters built in. I just wish that they would license the spring lever from from Wenger. It's a much nicer system than the spring steel that Victorinox uses.

Good ideas, and I would also not put in the lighter, I have seen one with a lighter and it was just way to big.

a squeegee? a chronograph? hehe

seriously tho? how bout a battery tester of some kind? or a small compartment to store o-rings? i'm guessing that would make the thing huge tho.....

oh yea... wrenches too. mebe an adjustable one, but basically ones you can use to twist off stuff like macroline fittings or steel hoses.
