awesome! I'm thinking of getting an 05, but i've been set back by the problems i've been hearing about them (shutoff w/ bright lights). Hopefully you wont have any probs, sweet looking gun dude.

the manual says that can happen to opto boards with the grips off.... I don;t play with grips off.....

And it would make sense that the optical trigger sensor wouldn;t work int he presense of bright light. It can't see the trigger anymore....

Yeah, there is a safty mechanism built in, the gun will not fire if the grips are off, because the opto cant sense the trigger. Once the light source is removed the gun should be able to fire. well, whats been hapening is that sunlight can sometimes enter through the top LED on the back of the frame, and that is enough to prevent the marker from firing. Main problem is, is that when the light source is removed, the gun still doesn't fire, the board just totally shuts down. Here's a vid of what i'm talking about:

As you can see, not all guns are affected, and even so the Master Techs are working on a fix. You're in good hands, I wouldn't worry about it much. sorry if i scared you

EDIT: punkncat, this only happens with the 05 speeds, not the 04's or other opto board markers. The 05's are the only ones with the row of LED's on the back. All the others just have a status light or nothing i think.

i would buy an angel but they are too complicated for me. I bought an IR3 and it wouldn't shoot no matter what I tried so I sold it and made profit.

I really want an 05 speed but I'm afraid I'll have to press and hold about 10 different functions just so it will shoot.

Well this is my first angel ever and programing the board is the most easiest thing in the world and setting up the trigger man the two wheel thing is sweet who ever invented that is a genius. Turning off the eyes is just press the trigger for a couple of secs and they are off.

About maintence for what i have read on the manual at every 10k shots a couple of angel oil in the asa and ram. I think is the same as in vikings.

Yeah, maintenance is super easy. I also love the triggers. They are soooo much easier to adjust then on the older angels (like ir3's)
