    Sunol paintball this weekend?

Anyone ever play at sunol paintball? I am going to be playing there for my first time and wanted to hear peoples opinions on it.

Looks like I will be out there playing saturday with a group from work.

    Sunol

Sunol has been my home field for about a year although I'm tempting to switch to Bay Area Paintball.

Fields are nice and they usually seperate the "Advanced" from the walk ons. If there aren't enough "Advanced" players, they'll mix it up so prepare to get beat on.

If the "Advanced" are playing, you wont see the hyperball/airball field all day.

If you have renters, go somewhere else - thier rentals REALLY blow and seem to be never cleaned.

Thier big field is sweet for pumps but you seem to get a lot of campers on there.

They have a surrender rule, no bunkering the walk ons.

They only put 2, maybe 3 refs on the big field - not enough.

Don't use the field paint, can't comment.

Get there early to get a table.

leave the ricer at home, the road into it will be all chewed up from the recent rains.

If you have a group of newbies, go to BA Paintball - more expensive but fun.

hey converse, where u live? I live part time in Pleasanton and part time in Walnut Creek.

sunol paintabll. its a good place. I've only been there and Venture Games paintball, so i dont have a whole lot of experience with different fields, but i thought it was fun. they have pretty expensive prices, but if you buy a case for $60 you get free admission, so that will save you money. all day air is $12 but they fill to 3000 only, and co2 fills are like $5. The fields are pretty nice. They have a small hyperball/airball field, but as Bobo said above, if the team players are playing, you will either have to play with them, or not use that field mroe than one game for the whole day. Their spool field is pretty nice, but their refs arent the greatest. I shot some guy in the arm once, yelled for a ref to pull him, watched the guy wipe the thing off, shot him again, and the ref was still just standing there... I like the fields there, but i dont like the people working there. I do have to give them credit though, one time my gun wasn't working(back when i was using a spyder shutter) and they let me borrow one of their rentals (pirahna) for the day and just held on to my gun for me. No charge. It was about halfway through the day, but it saved me around half of $60 worth of playing. They do not have much in the way of a shop there. I lost an elbow once and they only could sell me the 45 degree ones they use on their markers. luckily they found a spare staight elbow, but they dont have much in the way of spare parts. also, o-rings there COST MONEY! at venture, they slip a free one on if yours breaks, at sunol, its like a dollar for 3 of em or sumthin. thats a LOT of money for o-rings if you're running a 9-12 oz co2. same idea w/ batteries, the charge 3$ per 9v i think. i havent been there in awhile, so the battery and o-ring prices r a guess, but i remember that they are expensive. If you like woodsball at all, i would reccommend venture over sunol, but i like to play speedball too. www.venturegamespaintball.com if you're interested
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...

                Bummer

If you play the spool field and you are coming from the direction of the parking lot, take the blue house on the right tape. It closes off the right tape, lets you shoot cross field into the houses on the left and into the back bunkers.

Even with a pump I can cause choas from there.
