    Attatchment

(not to do with picture issues)

I have noticed that there are many a "gun whore" out there, and that so many of them say " I wish I still had my _________ " gun, because of sentimental atatchement. I was wondering how many of you out there still had that very first 68 classic, or that first pump, or whatever, just so that when you played with it, you could sorta relive your first games?
Personallly, I like playing with guns that don't fire "XXX bps" or are ".00005 ounces" just to feel what it is like to be a beginner again.

this is the exact reason why i'm not selling or trading in my classic valve, so that i can slap my minimag/automag body on there and play with 10lbs worth of metal

Wish I hadn't sold my 'mag.

Classic valve, steel body, steel barrel, original steel appocalypse. 20lbs. and I still loved every minute of it

I wish my brother hadn't sold his Tequilla Sunrise shoebox shocker w/ air assist (even though it did nothing). That thing was a beast, and one of the nicest looking old anno's ive seen.

You can have my 68 Mag classic when you pry it from my cold dead hands.

              Maybe

I've had that sucker since at least 95, never letting her go.....Though I have bought an Xvalve for it, also looking for a double trigger for it.....

i played with my blue plastic splatmaster in a speedball game on sunday.
and my friend's lttle brother played with my VM-68 Magnum after his whisper barrel decided to swallow the front half of his bolt.

i love my old markers. i think that playing with the splatmaster was the most fun i've had playing paintball in months. shh, don't tell my xmag.

i'm never going to sell them, although i have thought about turning them into mega-mod monsters from time to time.

My acid-blue Phantom VSC is my first (and currently only) gun, and I'll never part with it for a few reasons.

First, it's a classic. For me, Stock Class represents the primordial essence of paintball. In many ways, the Phantom embodies the spirit of SC: minimal, elegant, and classy. If and when I'm fortunate enough to pick up a 'Mag, I'll probably never let it go, for similar reasons -- I think the clean lines and elegant design perfectly embody the philosophy that "form follows function".

Second, even when I pick up the ULE 'Mag I've got my eye on, I'll always have a need for a pump and stock class marker. Most of the time, the bulk of the players at the local field are walk-ons, and let's face it, sweeping a bunch of rental-toting first-timers from the field with a high-test UberMag is neither a challenge nor the right thing to do. That's no fun for anybody, including me. I'd rather stick with the Phantom and make the games more enjoyable for everyone.

Finally, and most importantly: My wife and her family all got together to buy it for me for Christmas, because they see how much I love the sport, because they want to encourage me to play as often as possible, and because they want to see me become the best player I possibly can. That sentiment and encouragement means a lot to me, and the Phantom is its physical embodiment.

A marker by itself rules nothing. It only comes alive in skilled hands.

I bought my minimag in 1996. After almost 9 years, I've finally ( ) finished upgrading it to my liking. So much so in fact, that I was able to put my origional MM back together again. It now sits proudly retired and watches it's prodigy kick serious tail on the field

My Classic RT is mine forever. It was my first real high end marker and I spent WAY too much on it. If I tried to sell it I would be lucky to get $200 for it. It's too nice looking for me to sell it especially for that price. It will remain mine forever.
