    Angel and accuracy

First off I would have posted this in the Angel forum, but I would only get one reply by Mark a day from now.....that board is slower than Molasses on a January morning. AOG would be too biased.....so I ask here.

I have owned loads of markers. I have seen good and bad ones in the accuracy department. To get to the point, do other Angel owners here notice that vs other high grade markers they use and own, that their Angel is less accurate?

I have noticed that vs. my (other markers) this Angel is much less accurate even using the same paint, same freak front, and inserts. Its super duper uber fast. This thing goes so quick I had to buy a new loader just to keep up with it. But I can't hit crap! This thing is sending paint all over the place in general and occasionally into wierd hooks and spirals, diving straight into the ground 20 feet out, very strange stuff.

It chronos well, on average about +/- 6 FPS. I have of course cleaned the barrel and breach well to make sure its free of oil or paint residue. The ball detents are working well and evenly spaced. I also took the Sensi rod out to see if maybe its causing some wierd spin on the ball, I haven't tested that yet....I am really reaching here....

Are you using the same kind of paint you used with the other guns? Is it a decent batch of paint? Because according to most people on this board...and I think even tom did a test on it...the only major things that affects accuracy is paint quality, and paint to bore matching.

As I stated above, same paint, same barrel. The other markers shot the paint fine.

I have never owned an Angel, but I never though they were that great when it came to accuracy vs. other high end markers.

Actually I would have moved the thread here as the bias would be too obvious...I myself own Mag, Shocker, Cocker and Angel and to be honest all had bad days and all had good days (paint, wind etc). The shot to shot consitancy is pretty damned good with an Angel but then given the cost I would expect it to be....so enough of my ramblings time to let some others chime in.

having owned ( counts) four angels , i can tell you i never really noticed anything bad about their accuracy. they seem to shoot as stright as everthing else, and i have owned ALOT of guns
from shockers, imps , cockers , Vikings , Mags and many more. to me they do feel diffirent when shooting from other guns and i like that about them, but accuracy i believe is all consistency and barrel match with a little to do with the stablity of the gun.

I'll say that the Angel that I owned shot every bit as well as any of my other guns

It helps a lot to have the ram set up properly and the LPR at the right pressure. Also, a lot of people think they can't take their angel apart without that special kit and it gets really gritty in there.

Well my 05 speed is pretty accurate and that is with the stock barrel and no paint and barrel match.(but this has given me some chops)

i dunno, the newer angels that I have used seem to be too light for me, maybe i'm just retarded. I still love em though.

I atribute the Angels good-but-not-super-great accuracy to its kick.

well, it was a time old myth that angels were less accurate. it is all perception. It probabally has to dowith the markers... odder shape than most other markers, as it always seems to be a complaint, or that it apparently.. lobs balls.

it seems a little inconsistant but nothing too bad. im assuming its an o4 speed as well. it might be the transistion to a space frame for you, or any number of other factors. no one marker is inherently more accurate than another, if they are both consistant, you will see good trends in "accuracy"

also, dont buy into the bore of the barrel hype, it really doesnt matter nearly as much as the industry made it out to be
