I found this on www.ion-owners.com
Maybe it's old news, but they look great. Looks nothing like a mag, doesn't have the ugly-arse valve exposed.

Ahh. Isn't ignorance wonderful?Originally posted by warbeak2099Lol, so true. Sad, but so true. That body will last longer than the rest of the gun knowing the low grade aluminum sp uses.
The grade of aluminium has nothing to do with anything. Once the metal is strong enough and the finish hard enough anything else is overkill.
Before youstart puting down the material used, come up with someproof that it isn't up to the task it's designed for.Comment

Doesn't the grade of aluminum change how well it holds the ano, haven't any of you seen shocker annos fading?Comment

Well, since the ion isn't anodized, that's a moot point, right?Originally posted by SouthparkrocksDoesn't the grade of aluminum change how well it holds the ano, haven't any of you seen shocker annos fading?Comment

yakitori
it just replaces the plastic sleeve not the body. I think a lot of ppl have no idea how the Ion is built. The grade of aluminum will have no differnce in function. It wont function any better w/ 6061 than the other aluminum that is used right now. Its still freakin aluminum either way.
This body just slides over the body of the Ion and nothing else. Its aesthetic only, no function on performance.
It does look nice though. I dont think Ill be slappin a 150 dollar body on my ion though.
Thats my 2 cents.Comment
