get one that can use a Halo w/o probs. And the one that gave me all my probs was an LCD too. A 2k2 cnc Lcd.....I hated that gun.

if your lookign at an angel, I would reccomend an older LCD with pred, or other ACE system. Teammate shoots an A4 fly, lil bro shoots a 2k1 lcd with an entropy board/ace in it, both are nice markers, and one was alot less than the other.

the 05 speed is definetly a nice gun. I really love the trigger on it, it's adjustable to your every whim. MMMMMM...angel trigger. lol. Also, i happen to think that it's one of the most beautiful markers ever, even though it is a little tall, as aforementioned. But it's really up to you. I bet a timmy would be just as good, and i hear they're extremely light and good on gas, but it's your choice.

The older angels are nice, but angels are high maitnence. And if they do break you need to send them back to WDP and that takes forever. Also the older angels arent as reliable and can casue problems. The new ones however, A4,05 speed, g7 are extreamly nice, and are at the top of the playing chart. If you have the money get a a4 or an 05 speed, they beat out most every other gun in the market, excluding ego's some timmys, ect.ect. Nice guns.
Angel speeds however are ok guns, but need to be aced to be any good, unless you have a Halo or a reloader b

See I'm hearing mixed reviews about them. Some are saying they are high maintenence and some are saying they are low hehe.

I guess I will bite the bullet and get one and start learning about how it works

the new speeds dont outperform vikings, excals, timmys, DM4s, DM5s, etc. They are all basically the same maintainance. A few drops of oil and shoot it through. Thats it.

newer ones will likely need a low pressure tank.

Since you are stuck on angels, just get one and see if you like it for yourself.

IMO, they are not top notch. You will see after using it for a while. Unless you dont use other high end guns, then you have nothing to compare to.

My 05 had a minireg leak out of the box that ended up with just a lot of trial and error to replace o-rings to get it fixed. Eventually got fixed anyway and had still shot fine but it put me off a little bit that it got sent out with a leak. But it is possibly the nicest trigger I've shot. they are also very very fast. you don't really need to send it to WDP because they have a lot of Master Techs scattered around. I can just go to performance angel because it's pretty close to me. But I do agree they are high maintenance so if you want a gun you can just mess around with then throiw in your gear bag you might want to try something else.

QFT. Vikings are more efficient, less kick, lower maintainance, lifetime warranty, not as common, faster, and IMO an all around better bang for your buck.

EDIT: I forgot to mention quieter. More consistent, and more reliable. And dont need upgrades that much.

Always liked angels, but you really have-to baby them. If you like to baby ur gun youll be proud and satisfied with ur angel.

But if ur like me, do a few mods here and there, let things get out of hand, dont oil as much as you should, dont polish/clean the internals till you hear a leak, youll probably be better off with a tough gun like the viking.

If ur goin for the angel look u can get an excalibur and get it anod'. (sry i have an aka fetish).

I like all the electro junk on angels tho, heh, get a kick out of it.

I've thought about vikings but I'm concerned about the state of AKA. Also, I haven't had much luck finding them online except for unmilled or partially milled and they seem pretty expensive for not having any milling. I also have no idea what kind of warrenty they have or if they'll even still honor it.

One thing that attracted me to Angels is that they come with a lifetime warrenty through certain distributors. So if I manage to break something beyond my own scope of repair capabilities, I can always send it in to be fixed.

Honestly I've never owned a super fast high end gun but I'm feeling like my mag just isn't keeping up anymore.

Vikings sound cool and I've heard they're really great markers but I'm worried that I'll buy one and it will break and I'll be SOL. Also, I've never seen one for sale at a local shop or at a field. It's hard to buy something I can't try first.

                        I appreciate all your input!

I just got a very lightly used o4 Speed. I had a few problems right at first, but found it was all due to needing the battery charged.
It absolutely rips and is very consistant over the chrono. I put a Reloader B on, and took out the Sensi. The Sensi in the Speed works pretty well, but the marker shoots in an uneven ROF with it on. I turned it off, cranked up the Reloader and it fully RIPS! It is so unbelievable fast.
Everyone I know who has owned an Angel and did regular service hasn't had any problem with them, but in all fairness that is very few people in this area. An A4 hanging on the wall at the shop is the newest Angel around.....have yet to see an o5 or G7.

I loved my angel when i had it, but i sold it to pay for my xmag. In hindsight, I could have kept the angel too. I miss it..

We've been talking in PM's but I wanted to be public about my love for the G7. I don' t think you can go wrong with the Angel.
