In a word.... preference.

Some people like the look of the multple lines or the cleaner look, but some people want the lower chance of leaks with less connections. It's up to the individuals.

You know what would look cool? Instead of the whining about the amazing gun with the little holes to make screws that fit in there, that could be made different colors..So, in this case, Black or Blue whichever would make it look cleaner. I know Doc has 10/32 screws that just fill up holes, so it can be done quite easily..
