    cocker vs. mag

okay this probably has come up before, but i'm curious

apparently there's a sort of 'feud' in the decision of which gun, the cocker or the mag, is better. I'd like to know some opinions.

Me, personally, would have to go with the mag. I have used both guns, i remember my first cocker was an 03 vf cocker, and i just left it completely stock, and since i was moving up from a spyder shutter, i thought it was the sweetest gun ever, i remember being in awe at how flat the cocker shot, how it placed ball on ball every time. And my first mag, a 68 classic. The mag to me was not better in any way than the cocker, but what made me keep it was how simple it was. It wasn't so high-maintenance as the cockers, so i guess that's what made me love the mag.

Well they all have ups n downs like any gun, like cockers are the most gas efficent and known to be the most accurate gun, but they need TLC and they work well but it takes time to learn which lots of people have no time for, mags are excellent in my opinion, a bolt and valve thats pretty much it, low matience, but gas hogs and, but no moving parts on the outside. A cocker that is decent and a owner that knows how to take care of a cocker, it will treat them good, but the mag is pretty much idiot proof(well not really) but not as much as the cocker, personally i have seen both fire and break.
