difference in 04/05 proto pants

Ok so im gonna quit being a cheapscape and im gonna buy some paintball pants.I know dye makes good stuff and the proto stuff is just about as good for a whole lot less.I was looking at 04 proto pants becasue they are cheeper but then i looked at some 05's and they look like they have much better knee padding. So has anyone tried both or one of these pair or pants?
Any help is much appreciated!

i own the 04s i like em alot...little to no padding in knees tho but im 17 so thats not a big issue 2 me.....plus i do headfirst dives so i worry more about the crotch padding(which there is a good amount of) than i do the knees
