Anyone know how to remove epoxy?

I'd like to remove the epoxy holding my feedneck in, but from what I've read so far it doesn't seem easy. Some of the methods I've seen are...

    Oven cleaner (I think)
    Soldering Iron

Trouble is that I really don't want to remove any of the anno...

what kind of marker is it?

i don't know how to remove epoxy without cutting/ grinding it off.

    but there are other options:

if you can just replace the body then you may have to do that.

try to find a cheap non-working marker for sale somewhere and swap bodies.

if you want to keep the body you have you may need to find a capable machinist to help you.

or you could just live with the one that you have and rest assured that it will never come loose.

What type of Epoxy? I know with JB Weld that if you put enough force to it it will crack. Many epoxies are stronger than the Aluminum they are binding so.....

Good luck with that and let us know what works if anything.

if its loktight then just put it in boiling water for a bit to losten it up then force it. If its JB weld or something of the like force it and replace whatever you break in the process.

lock in your hopper and wrap tape around the feedneck and hopper neck. if you want to be sure of the results, try heat too

Try heating the thing up. Use a lighter, torch lighters work the best. Or ya can just heat it with hot water.

for something like this, take it to a local store, that way you don't have to worry about damages from yourself.
Hard work never killed anybody...but why take a chance?

Don't forget to loosen that 8-32 setscrew! It's between the feedneck and the boltpin.

Paint stripper will dissolve epoxy. ZipStrip is one. Should not harm the anno but test it on a little spot where it won't be seen first. Take a Q-tip and put some around the area with the epoxy. This should soften it right up.
