20,000 IONS on back-order?

I just got a spam from TAG sports saying that they have a shippment of ions in.. yadda yadda yaddd... the thing that caught my eye was that it also stated that SP is backordered by 20,000? Is this POSSIBLE?

Here is the e-mail:

They are in short supply in my area. Prices due to demand have gone from $285 up to $325 in the last couple weeks.

I got it too and I've never heard of them. I threw it into my spam file and blocked their address.

So you are some of the guys who registered on the sites forum but never made a post When you sign up for a forum you allow the site to mail you with information. Same applies here unless after registering you go into your user settings and change that option.

Actionvillage.com has Black & red ones in stock too... I can't see how there's a 20k backorder when most of the usual sites have plenty of them in stock. Sounds more like a hype marketing number to make it sound extra popular & drive up interest even more.
