if its a Li-Ion no if its any other type you are supposed to have it completly dead before rechargeing or it will prolly get a charge memory and be useless for any amount of time. so i would stay on the safe side and let it go dead first

i personally don't like the battery. i'm pretty sure it's the same one ur talking about, but i can't get my gear outta storage to look at it. the reason i don't like it is this: it worked fine, for 5 uses. every time i made sure it was completly dead before charging so i don't get the memory problem. well, after the 5th time. i can get about 3 games before it dies out. it may just be a problem with my spyder, cause it drains another 9volt in 2 hours. and that's with the gun off between games. so, maybe it's the gun, the battery, or some1 is talking my batt and using it when i'm not looking.

All good 9.6v batteries that I know of are NIMH and won't hurt them a bit to recharge them after every use. I use Powerex and have no complaints whatsoever, I never have to buy batteries and I never wonder how much juice I have left.
