    Question on trade of X-valve

Ok, I am looking to build myself a mag, one I may need to use at IAO... what I want is a ULE body, a single trigger, and a stainless retro valve - I absolutely do not want level ten. I can buy one, with the X-valve on it, from AGD with what I want for about $380 or whatever it comes out to exactly. Are the X-valves still being traded for $100 plus a stainless retro wtihout LX? What I would really like is one of the old Jax warriors "classic" valve that wasn't quite so classic (at least by rumor).

Not exactly sure what your asking on the trade in deal but 'Any' AGD valve traded in get's you $100 'off' the price of the X Valve. If the trade in valve has a L7 bolt on it, keep it and the parts and put that on the x valve if you like. You can trade the valve in with out the bolt no problem.

On a Classic valve, even 'modded' you are not going to equal the performance of an RT valve. It just not internally possible plus your stuck with all the SS weight but I guess that's your choice to make.

Used to be that people would trade an RT valve + $100 for an X-valve. I really don't want an X-valve, so if I can buy the RT Pro for $380, then tradel the X-valve for $100 + an RT valve ti would only cost me $280, which is worth it for a backup marker.

Oh I see where your going. That may be an option, I guess the classified section will answer that one for you.

Now that I think about it, when you get that far I may have an option for you if you want to give me a shout when the time comes.

may I ask why you don't want a level 10 (other than maybe you're trying to build a mech blender) ?

I hate level ten... to me its function has never been great, and it serves only to annoy me with constant tuning and attempting to get it better (watch AO lynch me for that comment). I'll HALO feed the thing and use a victory board if need be. A single trigger and about 1000PSI to it and it should be just reactive enough to be quick without blending.

I too got rid of my level ten. It was just to much of a pain, mine worked and worked well but I was just constantly having to tinker with it to get it just right. So I went with a level 7 foamie bolt and it works great.

I personally love the level 10, but my lvl 7 didn't chop much at all anyway (then again, I wasn't running an R/T valve..)

My lvl10 had kinks in it maybe a year after I got it, but I took to Roman at AGD and he fixed it right away and it's had no problems since! Maybe the problem with your lvl10 is that you have no idea how to tune it right, I suggest just sending it to AGD.

You didn't say it and its an exageration, but its one of my problems with level 10. Understand I have tuned this per the book, gone down to the point it won't leak and used the long spring - still not "soft" enough so I went down one size.. then failed to fire sometimes.

AO has two responses from LX enthusiasts
                    A) It works, see how good that is, TK is a god.
                    B) Yours doesn't work, your an idiot... you don't know what you're doing, etc. (I know you didnt say it, you know what I mean though)

Actually, that is a problem. You can't go down a size like that to get a softer setting. Tom originally thought that would work. However, during beta testing he determined that it did not work. The longest spring is the softest setting.
