it's completely preference, although i think that over 14" or so will give you slightly worse efficiency. personally, i prefer 10" barrels, but the 12" dye Xcel that came with my emag works great for me.

if you want to shoot straight, get a barrel kit and size your paint. and then if you want to shoot quiet, get a long tip with alot of porting.

but between the two, look at bore size (chooze about .685 or so) and i am pretty sure that the porting starts at the same place, so with a longer barrel will be quieter, not more accurate necessarialy.

(to thoes who replied after me) edit: i scrolling down to see what veryoe else said... yea.. it is a typo... you are right .689 is a good size... oops... o well!

I had a 12' jj ceramic on mine, I really liked it, it kept the feel of the gun nice and short.

WOAH! .685 is WAY small! Get a .689, since with that you get alot of good choices, like PMI Premium (what I use)

Oh, and I use a 12", and I would say that either 10 or 12 will be great choices.

              12-14" @ .689

Works well in most every situation IMO.

barrel 'kits' are very overrated in most ALL cases

14 inches should be about perfect for anything.

I would have to say that it depends on where you are playing. 10" for woodsball/hard bunkers, 14" for supair (to push the bunkers with the barrel), 12" for allround. Accuracy will be the same, efficiency will differ

Barrel kit. In the land of small paint Spokane WA ( talking .683 to.675) most of our field paint is itty bitty. But .689 is the best average bore to have on a single barrel.

                            I agree.

.689 is the best bore size imo.
