    Loctite on ULE feed threads?

Is there loctite on the ULE feedneck threads? If so, what color is it?

Take your detent out and let the intire body soak in boiling water for about 5min
Then use a strap wrench :)

Wow 5 mins ain't bad. I had to soak mine for almost a half hour and I still had trouble getting it off. When I did get it off though I didn't find red loctite, I found some sort of white dust. I dunno.

a strong hairdryer or a heatgun works easier, you can take it off by hand after doin that (haven't personally done it to agd ule feednecks but we get alot of dumb people in my shop that goober up everything with too much red loctite)

heatgun was amazing for mine. Stuck a dowel(sp) throught it and just spun, came up easy as apple pie.
I knew not what I did but am now edumacated

Stick it in a vice... And a tip...

If it's a metal vice, just put 2 pieces of wood on each side. The aluminum will dig into the wood and provide a steady base for you to crank on WITHOUT scratching ANYTHING!?

Wish I woulda done it that way.

If you don't have a heat gun boiling water works better than the dry heat of an oven. It's not any better for meling the loctite but it doesn't mess up the ano which the oven has done to me in the past.
