    Vballs, worth it or not?

Hey, I bought my scuba tank today(buying fill station within a few days, need funds...) and was wondering what AO thought about vballs. I dont have the cash to spend on reballs even though i know they are a ton better. I was thinking of setting up a couple towels in my room and using my bed(or chair) as a bunker and doing some snap-shooting. My mom wouldnt let me shoot them in the rest of the house so i would be confined to about a 10 foot area most of the time. Actually, come to think of it, i have an extremely long hall that doenst thave anything too fragile in it. probably about 50 feet long. My question: Would vballs be worth 32$ for me(thats how much they cost to buy/ship) I will have the money soon, but am also saving up for a car. would snap shooting drills be very helpful, or would it be a waste of money?

        I would not anyway

Personaly, i would go down to your local paintball shop and just buy a crap load of low grade paintballs to pratice snap shooting with. Nothing beats the "real" thing.

buy reballs, they are $150 for 500 and you can sell off the excess so you only have a hopper left. best investment ever. beats the real thing.

i have some vballs, they actually work really well.
skoad is wrong on this one, they perform just like real pb's in my halo.

            hmmm what else....

ya, they are great for practicing snap shooting, or teching your gat, w/e you need to do. reballs are really expensive, so this is the cheaper alternative, but i do suggest them.

That's not going to work out too well in his hallway or bedroom now is it?

meh, i have them, i probably got my $25 worth out of them, but, dont end up using them a ton because they have feeding issues with halo's, are too small, so they roll past eyes, beasicially, have to use a revvy and no eyes to shoot them, i think perhaps reballs would have been a better investment, espiciallly if you have a scuba

even the reball pods only are out of my price range. w/ shipping, it comes out to $67. I can get vballs for 32 including shipping, and i'm willing to do that. I'm not shooting far, its more for snap shooting and just seeing how fast i can empty 100 rounds than for playing at all.

also, all you people who think they are bad because eyes dont see them and they snag on halo/eggy gears, I have a lvl 10 mag and a qloader no eyes, no gears, still force fed so i can shoot fast.

For the love of Vin Diesel, reballs arent more expensive than vballs. you just have to buy 500 of them and sell 375 of them to your friends. 500/4 = 125 balls for $150/4 which is $37.50. I have some v balls and they arent realistic at all and they totally suck penar in halos and with eyes. reballs are so much better.

                          two schools of thought

Sounds like you are getting lots of value out of them. These things are for a closed environment, indoors mainly. Check their website. There are a couple videos of one of the European Teams practicing snap shooting drills. You will have to google it, as I had only a passing interest in it and didn't bookmark it.

LOL, if you watch closely, a couple of times he turns around to fire and a ball goes rolling out the end of the barrel, but let's be real... You can shoot how many bps? You start off a 1/10 sec behind cause you don't fire a ball on the first trigger pull? Do you really miss it?

68magowner: Think about it for a minute... There would be two schools of thought. One would tell you that not playing and practicing with the equipment that you would actually use to play with is a bad thing. I, and probably others on the other hand would be of the mind that practicing with a "deminished marker" would be excellent practice as it would force the player to increase skills to compensate... Then when tourny time rolls around, they get to play with more HP than they are used to. I felt it was almost too easy with this. Which school of thought are you???

I had a tube and in both my egg and halo the vballs would get double stacked in front of the area where the paddles were pushing the balls down the feed tube (i guess because they are smaller than pballs, especially when velcro gets squished). Then my egg made horrible noises and i immediately shut it off. Halo, thankfully, was smart enough to shut itself off.

oh and with the reballs, you could easily sell the rest off on the forums. Theres plenty of people who don't want to drop the $ for 500 but could easily take 100 for equal price per ball.

There is a website somewhere out there where you can get 100 vballs without the target for 20 bucks....problem is I cannot remember where I bought them from
