I Need Help With My Viking!!

Ok, so i got a viking, and i absolutely love it n all, but its got FSDO BAD. i tried adjusting the dwell and when i did that it clicked like it was out of air everytime i fired, it only worked when the dwell was set at like 10ms. so i emailed aka and they told me i should check to see if the viking firmware is up to date, but how the heck do i do that? man, i don't even know what firmware is! i'm such an elector newb! i've been playing with mags too long! haha but anyways, can you guys help clear some of that up? i tried the aka forum (on pbn) and they just don't listen to my stupidity anymore. HELP ME

Now you need a toolkit, or to send it to AKA. Never touch the lpr unless you have a toolkit.
The main tech tips for Vikings and Excaliburs is: Never touch the lpr
and try several brand new high end batteries.
AKA might still be backlogged for repairs. Ask them if it would be a better turnaround for sending to Gorilla Paintball or Destructive Customs as service centers. Don't know if any would be cheaper shipping than the others from Japan.

      whoops,
i'm not in japan anymore, i gotta get that changed.

but i made sure to adjust the lpr back to its original setting, and i also tried both duracell and energizer, neither worked. i'll see about sending it to aka or destructive.
haha looks like my rt ule will live to fight yet again!

If you touched the LPR at all, I would send it in to DC if you live in the East or Gorilla if you live in the West. Both will be happy to fix it for you and can probably get it to you quicker than AKA can..

As for the FSDO. I would try a fresh duracell battery first. Then I would make sure the entire marker is cleaned and lubed -- generally FSDO is caused by a sticky ram, which creates more friction on the first shot, causing it to be low. Drop a few drops of AKA lube down into the ram and cycle the ram by hand by moving the bolt forward/back.. Then drop a few into the ASA and gas up the marker.. Fire the marker 30-40 times, wipe the bolt chamber out, then try it.

i've tried excactly every one of those suggestions! haha there may be something more going on with my marker (like the increased dwell keeping it from firing). i'm just out of ideas guys, but thanks for the help. since i did touch the lpr i'll probably send it to gorilla or dc customs like you suggested rkjunior. thanks the help though guys.
