PMI nitrogen tanks, did I get a good deal?

I purchased a 88ci 4500psi tank off this forum. Got it basically for 100, plus 15 shipping. I was wondering why it was so cheap but he seems like an honest guy.

My question is, how well made are the PMI tanks?

Its hydro tested at 02... where would I have it hydrotested for 07?

Also, approximately how many shots will I get off this tank on the Automag classic rt with the level 10 upgrade?

    Thanks,

    Eric

my PMI 68/4500 was about 200 bux i think. its built nice, but on mine, the silver bonnet thing started slipping when i unscrewed my tank. but i fixed it with a little custom mod.
i dont know how many shots it would get, but on my classic, with my tank, filled to 3000, i think i can get about 700 shots. i'm not sure on the exact number though.
    upgrade fund: $145

by silver bonnet, he means the reg on the gun. Mine does it too, but it doesnt hurt anything. just dont unscrew it all the way, and try to use some sort of wrench to get it off.

He probably just needed the cash. Tanks like that generaly go for around $150 give or take so while it's a really good deal it's not like he only wanted $50. I wouldn't worry about it but do check the tank out once you get it to make sure.

PMI's don't have the best re-charge out there but I think it will keep up with your Mag just fine. I've used one with my E-Mag and had no drop-off problems.

Any SCUBA shop will be able to have it hydro tested. The local fire department should also be able to point you in the right direction. If neither of these work then do a google search as there are several on-line places that will get the test done for you.

Just make sure that you've got a 5 year tank or else it will need a test something this year. This could be why it was cheap.

I get around 800-900 shots from a 68/4500. You should get another 2-3 pods with an 88.

For hydrotesting, you absolutely cannot go wrong sending it to http://www.hydrotester.com
