Tom might have purposely misled some people to believe his product was better. But isnt that what nearly every company in paintball does anyway? Let's take DYE for example, everything with their name adds around 20%+ to the price of the item. Is their product any better? no...They have good marketing skills. We are being defensive because you are calling the owner of this forum a deceitful liar....and i am sure some people would buy something because he said. Throughout time Tom has shown to put out very reliable products(with the exception of the superbolt.) Even though he made some mistakes with the superbolt, he spend nights and days non stop trying to fix it, now you tell me that isnt dedication...of course people trust Tom.

To deal with your second item. Kids who save up money for their first gun for longer than a month or 2...buy a spyder or something and eventually get rid of it and think it was stupid in the first place. Plus even if the barrel worked semi decently it is still 20 bucks where as you could have bought something like a 50 dollar junky barrel. A child spending their money on it would probably be a good thing in the end anyway, they would learn some responsibility with their money. They would learn not to spend their money on impulse and just because someone says it works, they would learn to save it properly and get something they really want after doing a lot of research. That is how i found out about automags, when i joined this forum in June 01 i didnt even have a gun yet, a week or so after joining i got a spyder and now have upgraded to a mag and do not think twice about it ever. The rsearch and info i learned on this board helped me make the right decision.

As for point number 3 of yours, lighten up? If you walk up to any individual and talk something bad about something they like or respect, do you expect them to laugh it off with you? Heck in New York u say something wrong to the wrong people your rear is gonna end up in a gutter somewhere. Next time you go to school walk up to the most popular strongest kid and tell him to kick himself, then u try and go I WAS ONLY KIDDING REALLY!!! PLEASE LIGHTEN UP, then report back here and tell us how it turned out. It is human nature to be defensive and brutal, even if you are the ONE who isnt, theres about 6 billion other people in the world who are human.....

You know nothing of this board and nothing about its people, if you keep this up you are going to piss off a ton of people.

One i didnt walk up to some 1 and "talk bad about something" i think that people "from the post ive read" need to think and work in all directions and look at all opinions before you buy stuff it doesen't even have to be paint ball related it could be many other things.

And yea humans are brutal, if they werent we wouldnt kill eachother and our own planet...and im curious, were you spelling obviously wrong because english isnt your native language or do you just spell it that way, cuz thats ok, just wanted to let you know you were spelling it wrong. And my examples were quite fact based, you said autmags.org was a scam, maybe it wasnt the right word but you said it, regardless.

ok sure, i dont view it so much as a scam, maybe a place for auto mag owners to hang out and then they see the finer points of the new products, and see how things really work. I am sure some people were tired of the advertising gimmicks, how many times has AGD tried to force u into buying a product except by giving you PURE fact(w/ the exception of the crown point of course, but tom had a bet going, you cant turn ur back on a bet, its a law)

This forum probably works great as an advertisement, but it also works great for us. It helps out AGD because many issues can be solved here before the guns are sent to AGD, which obviously helps those people too! It really works both ways, everyone is happy.

This is Tom's website and he may do what he likes with it because he owns it, and he didn't just wake up one day and all this was here for him. He works very hard to keep the masses happy. You and I'll keep it short if you don't like what is said and done on AO don't surf here and don't post here. You have to remember that this is a website that is owned by a company that produces a product. Now from a marketing standpoint,say you were the owner of the company. I think that if you were to look at AO and say it doesn't make me any money, but it cost me money so why keep it up. Why pay for the servers and hosting cost and spend the money on more traditional marketing? So if Tom wants to sell something on the AO he has every right to do that it's his website.
