I saw these today whilst taking a gander at the new Gander Mtn. store near me. I thought that they were pretty cool:

Never use a real firearm brush on your paintgun barrel or breech. It will scratch the crap out of it.

I got one of the cases about 2 months ago from Fleet Farm for about $20. I was making my own out of a old cordless drill case but I figured for $20 it wasn't worth my time.

The case works pretty good. Similar construction to a Plano fishing tackle box. I really like the parts box, the best item on the case. The only negative that I came up with is there is no room for a mask in the case so I wouldn't mind having a case a little bigger.

Looks a lot better than my drill case was going..........

It's not a brush--it's a thick fabric cord/cable. I don't know what kind of fabric, however. Also, it is a bit pricey--about $15.00.

Original bore snakes for firearms actually have a bronze brush at the head of them, at least most of them. Since this snake is marketed specifically for paintball, I don't think that's a worry

I actually saw it for sale in the store. It's basically a braided cloth rope with a pull string on the end. It looks like it'll work...but for $17.00... I'll keep my $5 jerk squeegee.

I was wondering if using the boresnake would hurt my barrel--it's hard to tell. I think I'll play it safe though. I got my (what used to be) MiniMag in '97, I never even had a squeegee until last year. I very rarely chopped--like 3 times in 7 years (yes, for real) with a stock MM. If I needed to clean out my barrel, I just used a cut strip of t-shirt with a knot on the end.
