How would you measure mag barrels?

Well, it is stated that my cp barrel is 10 inches. It is actualy about 11.75 inches from end to end. Does this make it a 11 inch barrel or still a 10 inch barrel?

I got my boomstick to find that it is actualy a 12 inch rather 14 inch.. it is actualy about 13.75 inches from end to end though. I am so confused...

id say the your 10 inch is actually a 12 ( or just call it that)

and your 14 is pretty much a 14 ( all barrels ive seen a little bit longer or shorted then advertised)

Thats exactly what I thought. Thanks for confirming guys!

Now to return this barrel or not to return.

How are your experiences with the dye boomstick? I shot a couple today after doing some cleaning. (it was very dirty), and found it to ht very accurately at the same spot multiple times. Only problem I faced was shooting while leaning the gun sideways. Kinda curved towards the top of the gun on all the angles.

Does the Ultralite barrel have the same performance as the boomstick? Or does it lack something... Having the SS portion over the chrome portion of the gun doesnt look as good as a full black barrel inside the gun.

The ultralight performs exactly the same. The difference is it's lighter because the back is aluminum and it's cheaper because... well the back is aluminum. SS is more durable than aluminum, but then when are you going to need that extra durability? Unless you play stupidly hard and bash your barrel against things lol.

haha, I am not sure about stupid but seems like this guy was that type that needed the stainless steel. heh...

I am a big fan of boomsticks as they have always been reliable (to me) until I chopped paint during a tourny with my BM.

I am looking into the progressive, tear drop, All American, Ultralite, or just a longer boomstick.

I just preferably prefer that longer barrel.. feels comfortable. haha

Any inputs on any of these barrels would be greatly appreciated. I just did a search on the progressive barrels and I narrowed it down to the fact that they are becomming cheaper in quality. I found a auction on ebay for 2 progressives both 12 and 14 inch going for 15 bucks buy it now bn in packaging. Was thinking about picking those up but I dont want to be picking up crap.
