I won 2nd Place for best US gun at D-Day!

Who says you need Ramping powers to succeed?

So I attended Skirmish's 24hr D-Day Scenario this past weekend, camped out for 3days. Game ended at 12noon Sunday, then Awards and Raffle stuff on a open truck flatbed stage at 1pm.

They first called up anyone on the Ally side (i was a Captain for US) with a custom gun. I went up with my KP2 and was 1 of 10 finalists. The crowd voted via cheering and such; Then got down to the final four, then final two. Ended up being me against a guy with a custom molded futuristic pulse rifle thing... he won. For 2nd place though, I still got a V-Force travel bag, Gun Sling Harness, Raven Gloves, Evil Mesh pod bag, Miller Lite hat, Skirmish D-Day 05 t-shirt, and some stickers.

People thought my KP2 was a real rifle or shotgun at times, and thought it resembled a M1 rifle from WWII.

I spread the good word of www.MCARTERBROWN.com all over the place during the weekend. I have never been stopped and asked so many questions about the KP2 than any other gun I have owned.

        Big pics!

I was there along with Chris. The stupid pulse rifle was just a damn spyder underneath.

Sorry about the large size. I didnt have time to resize them.

A complete photo gallery of the event will be up on Forceofnature.com later in the day. It will include a USMC VM68, a few mags, and some great action shots.

Why does that KP not look in as good of condition as it did when it was first posted here?

First off Muz, the KP2 was used for MOST of the 24hr Scenario. SFL only got play for the last 3hours on Sunday.

I was lugging around the KP2 through Streams, Mud, Marsh, Swamp, Rocky Cliffs and Mountains... and such... also through the terrential downpour randomly throughout Saturday. I was doing bear crawls, creeping crouching sneaky styles on recon missions.... I got down and dirty! While everyone else was complaining their Electros were getting screwed... I was having a ball blasting fools with the KP2... though it did take quite a beating.

The wood stock has to be recoated again... mad peelage.

ALSO... thanks to WenUliveUDie for taking some great, end o the last day pics. I forgot to bring a camera to the event, and never got a single shot o myself and my new muppet blaster

another thing. The KP2 is a death enforcer. Closed Bolt goodness was deadly accurate. I went out with 2 Special Forces Recon members during Sunday early morning of play. They had superior firepower, and I had the quiet KP2... they covered either flank o mine while I sniped a bunch o German from a decently concealed brush location.

...Then the entire German army rushed your position.

The article should be on FoN later tonight. There will be about 50 pictures in the gallery.

well yah, I should take pictures of my CamelBack pack - entirely covered in paint, hit at least 10+ times....

After taking out an officer that was commanding nazis in a Squad on my 2-3oclock, and two lowly randomites that got in the way... an entirely seperate and larger German Platoon came outta nowhere on my 9oclock... completely lit me up. My covering guy that was supposed to be there backed up and went back to the castle our Platoon was holding, 50+ yds back on my 6.

Was not a pretty sight... azz hurts a bit too, i have enough welts there to make a nice little square o pain on my left cheek.

                    So wait!

The gun in those pictures above is the same as the gun in the pictures in this thread?

I think I am going to cry....why oh why?!?!?!?!? (and I am not kidding here)

MUZ, no no no.... heh. I'll explain.

That picture was taken when in the hands of 2 owners ago, probably at least 5-8yrs ago as well. The guy who I bought the gun from only had those pictures from when he had bought it from the other guy. Said it was just sitting around, or up on a wall if i remember, for mass amt of yrs and not being used. Said he would rather see it in play than just sitting there unused.

I had already purchased the gun and those pics with the Harely davidson blanket were the only ones I had before I actually got the KP2 in my hands. When I initially received the KP2, it was not even close to that condition of the picture, but the stock was in decent condition...

I'm not that reckless with my guns.... only the SFL knows my pain, hah!

Ok, I feel a bit better.

Those pics in the old thread show a mint condition KP2 and that was the reason I was telling you to not modify it. There are so few mint KP's out there that if one should ever turn up it should be kept in a nice padded case.

When I saw the pics after D-Day I almost died. I thought all the damage was done in one day of play and I held no hope that that gun would survive another.

Germans won by about 8000+ points.

Germans had roughly 25k i think... to the Allied 17.5k+ and the lowly French had 9900.

I think because the French backstabbed everyone during the event, the US lost those valuable points that were had last year... resulting in the loss, and allowing the AXIS to take over.
