AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I dont know about loctite but how about some silicone?Or is locktite silicone? If so it should work it should seal it and keep it together....but dont let my advice be your final word...or something liek that..im unsure.
If it needed to be welded then they would have never gone through the trouble of threading it. I just want to make sure it's ok before I slap some red Loctite on it.
That happened on my Classic RT, but I needed cash and sold it before I got a chance to fix it(the guy knew it leaked and needed work, I'm not a dick like that).
I ended up buying a "parts gun" that came with a new X valve..
but that leaves me with the same problem you have with my newly built "Back up gun"
I was told that AGD uses a special "compound" and Oring to seal the valves.
If i were to "loc tight" it on my own, it would come apart agine because of the force from the bolt hitting it.
with the tolerances being so tight, it is likely to break power tube tips, bolts, and sears if it backs out even the slightest bit.

That happened to one of my old classic valves. I tried red loctite, but it still would vibrate loose. I had to send it back to agd and they put a tac weld on it. Save yourself some trouble and send it to them. Since this is not a normal wear-and-tear issue, id bet agd would do it for just the shipping.
