i turn off ident now rob but it still auto kills me alot and then stays connected only for so long before it kicks me off. Any idea?

Either your ISP is banned from DalNet, or you're using a nick that someone else uses and they're using ghost command to get their nick back. Try coming in with a non-generic nick that you know no one else would use and see if you're still able to stay on. In the Status box, it will show the status of your connection. Once you're kicked it should tell you why, what does it end up saying?

it says i was auto killed for constant abuse in short. First line says im not welcome on the server. However i don't do anything on dal net other than try to chat here so i'm not sure what it means. then it says all users must have ident on comps. like i said i can get in sometime but then it boots me. any idea?

that was my problem. then i got a new switch/firewall and its starting working...
