do you think AO should have a system (for a time like this) where if a post is reported by 5 or so upstanding members (to prevent abuse of the system) the post is automatically deleted (but still viewable to moderators, in case that is necessary) and maybe if that happens with multiple posts, the user gets a temp ban? the moderators could choose who they deem "upstanding members" or maybe it could be a combination of join date/posts.

As far as i know there is no feature like this in Vbulletin. Would it be a good idea, maybe, but I can honestly see it getting abused. There are people in here that know enough people in here that they could conspire to get a legit post deleted.

Also, in a case like this it would take 5 people the entire day to get rid of the 80 or so porn posts.

What IS needed, and not difficult to code into vBulliten is the ability to pick a member and delete all posts by that member, within a date range, and delete the member. I had something similiar for an e107 site I developed.

Top Ramen started at 3:48AM and made a porn post (via sig) every minute until 4:22AM

That would be a fine solution, but not something you would want just 5 ordinary forum users to be able to do. If the mods had that ability then fine. The problem here is all the mods seem to be away.

Well crap, it's not like I have a business to run.

85 reported posts takes a while to push through. They're both gone and all their posts are too.

Admins can already do that. It's a helluva time saver.
