today i found out how well mag valves hold up. I walked in to the field where i am sorta working at and sitting there is a hypermag in for repair. when i ask about it i was told it just needed to be looked over while tha tank was hydroed. since i had nothing else to do i got this job. the mag looked a bit sandy but other wise ok it aired up but never cocked. while taking it apart i found the sand was caked all over and the spring was almost rusted in place, ther was lots of pitting and rust all around the gun. after some sanding of the bolt and sear a new spring and alot of oil i put it back togather a prepaired to crono it. to my shock 270,261,265 this mag had looked like it was found on the beach the tank was out of hydro by 3 years but with a spring, alot of oil and some tlc it didn't miss a beat

the beach mag

Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
