    Tank Suggestions needed

I'm going to be getting a new tank with my new gun (ULE custom RT), and I want an adjustable 45-47 inch 4500 fill carbon fiber tank with a buit in reg. Right now I'm looking into a nitro duck X-stream. Any other suggestions? I'm hoping not to go too much over 200 or 250.

          Nope.

I personally would get a Centerflag 4CE/Dynaflow, AGD Flatline, or Maxflow. The 4CE is a preset with adjustable springs; 400?/750/1000psi I think--

Does AGD still make the flatline tank? I can't seem to find it on their website.

centerflag makes great adjustable regs...AGD flatlines are nice. AIr america.
I'd go with the 68/4500 over the 45/4500, with a mag you wont be getting many shots off of a 45ci tank maybe 400 if you are lucky...and that is with a true 4500psi fill, wich is rare.

I personally love my Max-flo's. And I've seen more and more for great prices on Ebay recently.

I have a pair of 68/45 Maxflos for sale in the classfieds as a matter of fact. Great tanks, very consistant, good recharge - a touch too maintenance intensive for my taste - it seems every month I was changing an o-ring. Than again, I use my equipment often.

Thanks for the input guys. And while I'm here I'd like to ask a stupid quesiton. Is there anything special that needs to be done to a mag for it to operate on low pressure?

"low pressure" is used to describe the amount of pressure needed to run the bolts "cycle". In guns that use a solenoid this operating pressure can be down in between 60-100psi, resulting in slightly greater air efficiency (less air used to run the bolt = more air available in the tank to fire the ball)....a mag is somewhere in the 600- 850 range, 600 for level 7 and 800+ for level 10 bolts....but this same pressure is used to fire the ball..

So, you dont need to concern yourself with all that when dealing with a mag. low pressure high pressure it dosent really make a big diff. a ball leaving the barrel at 300 feet per second is going to go the same distance out of a mag than it is out of a matrix...However, what you should keep in mind is that because the Mag needs 600+ psi to cycle the bolt and fire the ball that is 600psi of unusable air in your tank ( a mag wil a level 10 will stop firing when the tank has under 800psi left in it, and will stop firing at about 600psi if you are running a level 7 bolt) some guns may be able to shoot the tank down to around 200psi...thats why I suggested earlier that you get a larger tank.. to compensate for this.

If you're referring to low pressure like in the 200-500 range, it's not gonna happen. Mags need around 800PSI to work.

I'd just go the easy way and buy a preset crossfire. Nice and small reg, pretty lightweight, dead reliable and you'll never outshoot it.

^ true, thats what I would do as well. an adjustable tank that will let you crank up the pressure to 1000psi will allow you to get the "reactive trigger" effect from your RT mag, but it is not legal to use at most fields/tournaments anyway...so is it worth the extra $100-200 you'd spend on an adjustable?
I prefer a high pressure preset screw in tank -centerflag, Pmi pure energy or crossfire.
