AO trumps PBN & PBF

I put the same flatline question on all three forums, and here are the results:

PBF: posted Yesterday, 08:17 PM, 24 views and ZERO answers
PBN: posted Today, 10:55 AM, ZERO views and ZERO answers
AO: posted Today, 10:50 AM, 5 views and 1 legitimate answer

So the data clearly shows, if you have a question or problem come to AO for the fastest response. AO is still the best!

I know what PBN is, but what is PBF? I've never heard of it before?
and I agree with you 120%. I've never had a problem with not getting a question answered quickly and accurately here on AO before.

Probably cause the Mag forums over at those 2 are PBN=Very Sad and PBF=What Mag forum, I thought that was where Mags went to die.

The data clearly shows that when you want a Airgun Designs related question answered in the fastest time, you come to Automags.org. Besides that, your test means diddly squat.

If I wanted a 'Cocker question answered, I would recieve a faster response and a more helpful answer at a 'Cocker oriented website, not a 'Mag website, or Paintball in General website.

However I have found Automags.org to be the most polite and mature forum out of any that I have been a part of (Tippmann used to be a good forum, but lately it's been downhill).

I think you should wait more than 23 minutes before jumping to that kind of conclusion... This is a much bigger website, among other things... So the fact that you got a faster response in that amount of time doesn't really surprise me.

I had read somewhere *#cough*# that AO had fallen off and was diminishing in quality (so to speak); and someone would be better served looking elsewhere. I was just curious if this was true.



Well, I ended the test as soon as i got an answer. AO wins in 9min. not to mention the huge head start PBF had. or but it's only my two pennies

Well, I love AO but this test really means nothing. Of course you came to AO and got your mag questions answered here the fastest. PBN is 80% little kids carrying $1000 DM's and Timmy's. They idol the tournament players and scene, nobody uses mags in the NPPL or NXL. Most of the people at PBN would tell you that a mag is heavy and is not fast enough and how it is not AGG or Secksy. Half of them don't even know what an X-mag is. I'm sorry for those mature people who are on PBN, you make PBN worth going to but am I not right? Now, if I wanted a question about a Timmy or DM answered, I'm sure someone at PBN could answer it super fast and then call you a NOOB for asking it but hey, that's how things are.

Maybe be xmags were never really good guns? And were outdated before they were even released. They didn't change much preformance wise from the emag besides lvl 10 which all mags can have and the crappy eyes, which are worthless. I've owned an emag and I can say the ego, the 2 dm4s, the 1 proto, the 5 timmys, that I have owned were all better then the emag.

Just because one person answers your question doesn't mean that a forum is alive and well. Look at all the posts that are posted, and the quality of information, and the amount of personal flaming and disrespect. That would be a good start IMHO.

So if I had posted saying "WTFBBQCHICKEN stoopid noobie!" instead of Musikman's answer AO would have still been in at 9 minutes? I know it probably isn't what you meant but I feel like nitpicking.

I would personally like to know how they were outdated before they were released. If you want my honest opinion so are Intimidators, and a whole host of other markers. Now days it seems to be the "software" is old or outclassed right out of the box. And that is really the biggest discriminating factor in how a gun performs. I would mention regulators but for the most part the kind that come on high end guns seem to be of good quality.

I mean in theory you can make a Spyder just as fast and just as reliable as anything out there. Hook up a siphon tank, shim the sear, and see what a Spyder can do, and that's without batteries (Or to be honest a real intent to play the game.). But with the T-board and all that junk...

Anyways, if you didn't like the E-Mag fine, that's your right and I won't contest it. But in my mind my X-mag is not only neat for the cool factor and all the innovation that went into it, but isn't outclassed in anyway other than effeciency and "Aggness". Neither of which bother me very much at all.

That's exactly what maggs are outclassed in, efficiency and aggness. I'd rather not fix the aggness and the efficiency can't be fixed, so... who cares? An electro mag is as fast if not faster than everything else.

"WTFBBQCHICKEN stoopid noobie!" I almost pissed myself laughing reading that, but I was looking for a legit answer, to a rather lame question. We were all noobs sometime. Right? Or maybe, all of us were born geniuses (like Einstein) and it has become the quality of insulting criticism meant to incite anger that determines your knowledge of mags, and the rest of the industry. But then there wouldn't
